The Museum of Prehistoric Thira has displays of many archaeological finds from the excavations at Akrotiri, including Neolithic pottery from as far back as 3300 BC. The exhibits attempt to show life in prehistoric times, with tools, metal workings, pottery, furniture, and other artifacts on display.

A fee of 3 euro is payable by everyone at the entrance, at time of arrival. (tickets cannot be pre purchased)
Opening Times are 10 am to 4pm.
For a reduced fee of 125 euro (instead of the usual 200E plus) you can have a specialized tour guide who will explain everything, show you in detail and will take an hour to show you the most amazing prehistoric museum ever. There are limited signs and without a guide you really miss an incredible amount.
